To simply call Beverly Farms resident Linda Flaherty Haltmaier a poet would be terribly misleading. Sure, her Homebound Publications Prize-winning book of poems, “Rolling up the Sky,” was released this past Tuesday and can be found on Amazon, Barnes and Nobles and at the local Book Shop of Beverly Farms, so, one would not be technically. Today's book of poetry: Sweet to Burn. Beverly Bunch. Gival Press. Arlington, Virginia, USA. Not sure I have it exactly right but Sweet to Burn reads like a novel. In this novel there is an exploration of new love, it's growth, a committed relationship, having a child together, aging together and all the pitfalls of committed love.
